What Paris did…

I have been inspired this week, meeting a passionate wild swimmer, and talking about the Lucinda Alliance. The ‘google rabbit hole’ I went down was to look at how Paris got the Seine ready for swimming & what that has meant to the people. Recalling that the 1900 Olympics in Paris had swimming in the river was a clarion call for the investment needed to create a storm surge system that didn’t dump sewage straight into the river. That got me thinking about water systems and also about nature based solutions, and how we can ‘multi-task’ them to create a better urban enviornment…
